Conversations from Yesterday

By | February 18, 2022

Hi friends,

This week I am making up for missed writing time from last week. Can you tell?

What activity has made your whole body humming lately?

A friend recently said that something is ready to be born within me. I don’t know what. I will let you know when it is here. If you have foresight, let me know!

Okay, now move on to the conversations from yesterday. I was paying attention! Let me know which conversation you like the most.

K. Bye for now,
X.Y.Zheng

One –

I asked: “What is your favorite body part?”
“You know what, my son asked me the same question for his project at school this week.” She answered softly without rushing. “ At first, I went to the obvious answer – what I like aesthetically. Then I thought some more. I like my hands: they provide me with a living and help other people.”
I let the air settle in between us. “ I love your hands.”

Two –

He was sitting on the bench and talking to his fellow climber. “ I really don’t socialize much other than at this place.” He looked down at his hands and wiped the chalk off his palm. “ Last Friday and Saturday, I went out to a couple of bars. Brutal. Talking to girls and all that. I don’t want to do it. ”
The guy he was talking to replied with his own story, “ Yeah, I like this girl. She climbs here. You’ve seen her before. She is supposed to be here tonight. What the hell?”
He followed up “Yeah, I’ve seen you two climb together. Is she an accountant or something? She must be busy right now – they are probably destroying her.”

Three –

Woman talked on and on about her day and what she learned.
Man stared at her with a smile on his face.
Woman asked “ what part stood out to you?”
Man answered “ none.”
Woman: “ You got nothing out of what I just said?”
Man: “Yeah, nothing. I was listening to you talk.”
Woman: “But you got nothing from what I said?!”
Man: “Yeah, nothing.”

Four –

“I listened to your demo. I love it. In the middle, you were humming. That was the best part.”
“Thanks. I will leave the humming in.”

Five –

“I like your bracelets,” Man said to Woman, “ I want to figure out what they are made out of.”
Woman took off her bracelets and handed them over to Man. Man took them and studied them, or appeared to study them.
“Try them on…” Woman suggested. Man did. Before Woman could see what the bracelets looked like on Man, he took them off and handed them back, “They are made out of metal. I have determined.” He pointed to the one with larger square rainbow details and said, “ I like this one better. The other one is alright.”
Woman took the bracelets back and said, “I want to see them on you.” She put them back on Man’s wrist. The bracelets became tangled. Man stood still with his palms facing up.
“You are going to break your bracelets.” Man said as Woman tried to detangle them. Woman didn’t say anything and kept on detangling the bracelets. She must want to see what they look like on Man.
“ Are we in love now?” Man joked and looked at Woman doing her thing. Woman didn’t say anything back and kept on detangling the bracelets.
“See how messy love gets.” She stopped her action and walked over to the other side of Man. She turned Man’s left arm around to see the bracelets, “I like this one better” She pointed to the same one Man liked.
“Yeah, that’s more of my style.” He took the bracelets off and returned them to Woman the second time.

I like 3 and 4 best.. if I had to pick just one then I would choose 3. It reminds me of former happy times and gives me hope of happy times to come. Thank you.

The activity which made my whole body hum today was crouching in our garden in gale force winds right next to my female blackbird friend when she finally flew in to eat. She must have had job to fly in the wind as I was having trouble standing up in it. It is always a meeting of worlds and souls when I’m with her – today in the storm it seemed heightened.

I don’t know exactly what will be born in you but I feel it too and wish you all the best with it!

Hi my friend, I was just emailing you! How lovely it is to see your words. Thank you for sharing which ones you like the best! I appreciate it. I hope happy times come your way when you are ready to receive them.

You have a female blackbird friend – how special! Tell me more about her please. Do you have a bird house for her? Does she bring other friends with her? Through your words, I feel your connection with her. Storm of any kind gives us reasons to cuddle together. I send both of you love. Hope the wind takes what it wants to take and leave you with peace and hopefully, a gem in disguise.

Thank you for your lovely wish! I will keep paying attention. I hope whatever is coming my way carries gentle gentle love with it.
