A ghost town is hidden in between the busy streets of London. When the sun sets, there will be a train with no lights, promptly showing up to board willing passengers. Nate and Samuel didn’t remember stepping onto the ghost train; alas, they are going to a place of no return.
The inside of the train is well lit. Each section of the train is painted in a different color. They got on the navy blue section. Besides the wall, everything in this section is white and spotless. There is a monotone humming in the background. Nate and Samuel tried to search for the origin of the sound for they hadn’t seen anyone onboard. Nate pointed his head and signaled to Samuel as he moved towards the connected door.
The minute they opened the door, the humming stopped, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee rushed in. They’ve entered the yellow section. It is packed here. People from all over are talking, singing, dancing and laughing. A skinny lady grabbed Nate and Samuel and gave them two cups of coffee and a menu – a menu that is a talking cartoon. Amused and confused, Nate gestured to Samuel to continue on. Nate wanted to see all different sections of the train. Samuel wanted to stay in the yellow train and have more of the coffee.
All willing passengers onboard eventually forget where they come from and where they are going. As long as they ask the engineer of the train where they are headed, the train will stop at the ghost town and release everyone onboard. It has been seven years since the engineer heard anyone ask this question. She is hopeful that someone eventually will. She’d like a proper haircut soon.
