He adopted two new cats recently. In total, he has seven cats. Technically, he could be called a weird cat guy. But nobody calls him that. After all, he is one A-list movie star with good looks, five Academy Awards nominations, private jets, mansions in all four continents, a long and growing list of ex-girlfriends, and a pending authorization to own three neighboring islands.
He is strange, talented and aloof. He knows it. To the world, he is a trend setter, whatever that means. He suffers from severe OCD and bipolar disorder. Medicine and cats keep him human and solid. He has an assistant whose sole job is to make sure he takes the meds on schedule.
The cats go wherever he goes. Their names are: Hera, Ares, Aphrodite, Artemis, Dionysus, Hephaestus, and Hermes. He has not loved a single human more than he loved his cats.
This year, he is making an independent documentary about Ivy League college experience. It is the first time he is directing a film. He hopes to examine the billion dollar industry that cultivates and molds the young, ambitious mind. He plans to follow eight students for the next four years and capture their experience of going to their dream schools.
He had a great time at Yale drama school. But that was 25 years ago. A lot has changed.
