Rachel is on probation.

The first day she got back home, her mom cried in the shower. Her sweet Rachel looked like a dried tomato. Then again, she felt grateful that Rachel is home.

Sweet Rachel set one of the university’s libraries on fire two years ago. She was 19 then. I wish I could tell you that she didn’t do it on purpose. She was the captain of the debate team, chief editor of the university newspaper and lead singer of a band named “Walk Talk”. The band just released an album with original songs written by Rachel’s boyfriend at the time. “Walk Talk” was getting attention from label companies.

As to why Rachel burned down the library, she wasn’t willing to disclose. She was the one who called the police. “I set the McDonogh library on fire.” The main library for the school of music. No one was inside. Rachel made sure of it.

She was laughing, dancing and singing when the cops arrived. She was in a pale white silk dress and her ballet shoes. She was so stunning to look at. The cops were confused.

Six months after Rachel’s arrest, “Walk Talk” got a new lead singer and signed a label deal.

Two months into the probation, Rachel’s cheeks are starting to turn rosy. Her mom spots a smile on Rachel’s face, here and there. Rachel is voluntarily touching the harp again. Rachel’s mom got her new ballet shoes and put them at obvious places throughout the house.

“Rachel, marry me.” That set things on fire.

Now, your turn, any thoughts? I care to know.
