Things I remembered from Last Week

By | February 15, 2022

Last week was the 2nd week of February, the shortest month of the year.

On Sunday, I went to yoga and aerial. The yoga room was warm. The aerial room was cold. I stepped out in the middle of aerial class to add layers. My fingers and feet were cold. They are always cold, a constant reminder for a cup of hot tea and fuzzy socks, a constant need for warmth from the sun and sun-like creatures.

On Monday, I had many work meetings. After work, I went to the climbing gym. I said one sentence that stayed with me, but it was to someone else. “But you are here.” That’s what I said.

On Tuesday, I learned new tricks in aerial – climbing up the fabric and rolling out. I can’t make the movements look pretty right now. The fabric digs into my thighs and you see “ouch” spread across my face. My teacher said: more reasons to practice. She is right.

Wednesday was blurry. I don’t remember much. I need to note stuff down.

Thursday, I put on makeup and my orange colored dress with pockets. It is one of my favorite dresses. Comfortable and chic are my qualifiers. I went to see a musical called Jesus Christ Superstar. The sets are beautiful. I was impressed by the drummer. I remember golden glitters being splashed on Jesus. Jesus was played by a white male. He had so much stuff to do besides dying on the cross, one of which is playing the guitar! I thought that was unnecessary for our Lord Christ. Judas was the star of the show. There was no intermission and I had to use the restroom while the show was on. It was difficult to see in the dark. Let there be light? I had a fun night. I laughed and cried a little.

Friday, work was busy. I did yoga. I think I did yoga.

Saturday, I met my friend’s family, including her smart corgi, Stevie. Stevie has a German Shepherd spirit with corgi legs. She loves playing and has great physical boundaries. I fed her a tiny corner of my cheese. My friend played music and gave me chills. I was standing there watching the energy of the room shift when she started playing her guitar. I had ants climbing up my legs. It was that good.

Conclusions:
1. I need a small notebook and a pen with me, always.
2. Pay attention. Life is good and goes by fast.

Now, your turn, any thoughts? I care to know.
