Suspicion

By | May 18, 2022

Hi friends,

To end my own suspicion of whether I will write consistently, here I AM! What do we say, we do our very best one day at a time. I am proud of all of us who has made to today. Great job on not giving up and, and, and, you are reading!

Here are three fun suspicion pieces. I am writing with my tired back. My tea is waiting for me to wrap up. Where are you reading this? Where are your feet? Tell me and be honest.

Okay- bye for now. Tea time!

Suspicion

I.

She said she would text me on Saturday morning after I’ve spoken to her about the same issue three times in person. I suspected that she was brushing me off. By the time Wednesday evening arrived, I knew I was right.

I’d be happier if I were wrong.

II.

A couple walked in the Thai place I frequent: a man and a woman – man in blue, woman in red. The woman dressed up for this dinner. Her hair neatly tied to a ponytail with a pink furry scrunchie. She sat with her back straight. She talked about nothing important or interesting and she talked with her hands: her salon nail job dancing and flying in front of the man’s face. He stayed calm and polite. He sat and listened, with his hands folded, supporting his chin. They shared a mild chicken pad thai and two glasses of chardonnay. He said very little and she laughed in a pitch I recognized.

As I chewed on my green beans, I thought, this woman likes this man. And I caught my next thought. The rain has stopped outside. The tip of the tree swinging and humming a gentle tune: No, Not Lovers, Friends Indeed.

III.

She suspects that I picked up her suspicion for me. And vice versa. An auspicious relationship doomed.

Now, your turn, any thoughts? I care to know.
